This special edition of the Slimline is crafted from historic Teak wood recovered from the decking of the USS Missouri, carrying a unique and meaningful connection to history. The Teak was placed on the battleship deck between 1945 and 1950, sourced from Japanese lumber yards right after World War II to make repairs to the ship. After the USS Missouri was retired in 1998, renovations began, and this batch of Teak was received in 2003, preserving a tangible piece of the ship’s storied past.
The wood’s deep grain and rich tones are beautifully complemented by titanium oxide-plated hardware, creating a sleek and durable finish. As with all Lau Lau Woodworks pens, the Slimline is sealed with a specialized finish, making it water and chemical resistant for lasting beauty and performance.
